Fond du Lac’s Min No Aya Win Human Services Center gets a new Addition!
The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa has completed its new Human Services Expansion at Min No Aya Win Human Services Center in the Cloquet community. The new 25,000 S.F. facility includes expanded Family Practice Medical facilities, Behavioral Health Services and Therapy, Social Services and an expanded Dental Program. Architecture and Project Management was provided by Meyer Group Architecture of Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin. Max Gray Construction of Hibbing and Duluth, Minnesota was the General Contractor. Primary subcontractors were Benson Electric of Superior, Wisconsin and HVAC/Mechanical was by A.G. O'Brien of Duluth, Minnesota. The new $11.5 million project also created a secondary access to the facility along with expanded parking and a 100% back-up generator. Opening of the facility is expected in February 2018. Funding for the project was provided by the Fond du Lac Reservation Business Committee. The goal of the project was to provide expanded Human Services to the Native American community of northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin.
