Meyer Group Architecture’s New Student Intern

A big welcome to, Charleigh, Meyer Group Architecture's Student Intern! Her internship is part of Denfeld High School's Career & Technical Education Program. The Career Development Internship is a work-based learning course that provides top CTE students the opportunity to test out skills learned in their CTE courses in real-world paid or unpaid experiences. Here's a little more about our awesome intern! My name is Charleigh (Char-Lee) Frederick. I'm a Duluth native and am currently enrolled at Denfeld High School. There, I am president of the Denfeld Drama Club, as well as being involved with National Honors Society, Link Crew, Theater, Rotary, One Act Team, and the Photo Media Team. During my summer break, my free time is filled with volunteering through Hillside Youth Children's Theater, where I help community youth put on a fun musical. I'm excited both for my future and for this opportunity Meyer Group is giving me to come and get a feel for the field of Architecture. I've had an interest in Architecture and Design since the third grade. To be able to manipulate and affect the spaces in which people live and work is an amazing ability. You are then a part of their lives every day, and they don't even know your name. I find it truly amazing, and the reason why I wish to be an architect. My plans post graduation from high school are to go to either Pratt Institute or Illinois Institute of Technology in pursuit of an Architectural degree. This will then be my first step on the road to becoming an architect.
