Board of Trade
Project
Summary
"The Board of Trade Building is located on the West First Street of Duluth, Minnesota in the Duluth Commercial Historic District. It is a Romanesque Revival brick and stone masonry building. The Board of Trade is listed on the
National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Constructed in 1895 to serve as the headquarters of the Duluth’s Board of Trade organization, it housed the city’s grain and commodity trading until 1972. The building had received a significant addition in 1905, and in 1982, a courtyard space was enclosed and converted to interior space at the second level to the seventh level. In 1905, nine masonry stories were added. Meyer Group assisted Dubin Does Duluth I LLC to turn the Board of Trade building into a high end office space. The newly rehabilitated Board of Trade building will have the potential of creating 100+ jobs in the Duluth Community."
