Cloquet Public Library
Project
Summary
The City of Cloquet hired Meyer Group Architecture to perform a Pre-Design for submittal to the Minnesota Department of Administration, a Building Access Survey as prescribed by the Minnesota State Council on Disability, and aid in the completion of the Minnesota Department of Education Library Construction Grant for the CloquetPublic Library Addition & Renovation project. The Cloquet Public Library was in need of additional space based on the population size it serves and the needs of its patrons. A large addition to the existing facility was proposed along with renovations to the interior. To meet this growing need in the community, the addition and renovations included larger new spaces for Teen/Young Adult programming, Children/Youth Services programming, and a large meeting hall. All of these new spaces within the addition and the renovations center around the core values of the Cloquet Public Library.
