East Lake Ceremonial Hall

Summary

The East Lake Ceremonial was created to house Ojibwe Spiritual Ceremonies. The structure includes a Commercial Kitchen and is used occasionally for Community Events and Cultural Education by the Minisinaakwaan Leadership Academy for Mille Lacs Education. During construction, the project was also used to provide training for Mille Lacs Band members interested in learning the construction trades and “shadowing” programs were set up with various sub-contractors to maximize the projects as learning opportunities.
