Summary

The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Band selected Meyer Group to design their new Pow Wow Grounds located just south of McGregor, Minnesota. Meyer Group was the lead on the design of this site, from initial concepts through final documentation and construction administration. The culturally-meaningful design featured a multi-phased project to create a comprehensive meeting facility featuring circular stadium seating around the central Pow Wow performance area, arbors, Emcee/calling stand, shower and RV camping and tenting facilities, and comprehensive phasing for program development that complements and supports the larger site design and use. The Meyer Group Team worked directly with the Mille Lacs Band to ensure the design directly represented their vision and goals for the site, while still maintaining budgetary constraints.
