Lac Courte Oreilles Housing Authority

Project
Summary

Meyer Group Architecture provided support for a variety of projects with the Lac Courte Oreilles Housing Authority. We were involved with Imminent Threat Project, installed owner furnished battery back-up sump pumps in approximately 207 homes, furnished, and installed basement crack sealant in approximately 247 homes. The Mold Remediation Project was moderate to extensive rehabilitation of 53 homes scattered throughout the LCO Reservation. The Housing Authority received a technical assistance grant for the Self-Help Housing Project to supervise ten low-income families in the construction of their own homes. The families were inexperienced in construction so plans were made to be easily followed and easily built. The Streetlight at Water Tower was to assist in installation of streetlights in the Water Tower Community with plans and specifications provided from the Bureau of Indian Affairs Roads Division. The Energy Upgrades Project consisted of residential energy modernization and renovation to the Scattered Site Houses. The last project we worked on was the Lac Courte Oreilles Housing Authority Office Grading and Drainage Improvements. This project involved the Casino Master Plan Expansion, which addressed the improvements of the exterior appearance and function of the Housing Authority facilities.
