Lac Courte Oreilles Kinnamon School & Cultural Center

Project
Summary

The Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Chippewa desired to preserve the 2,400 S.F. building. The multiple-level building was originally built in 1925 and was abandoned in the 1960s. The school is now the home of historic items from the tribe. The existing building is now used as a visitor center, museum, and gift shop. The building not only enhances tourism in the area, but also helps the local tribal businesses and local artists showcase their work. Preserving the historical character and fabric of the school during renovation was a key factor while working on this project. We are so glad to have been a part of this beloved building and restore it to its original state.
